About Lesson

In this module we’ve explored the many benefits and challenges of local food. The decision about whether or not to support local food is complicated by environment, social, health and economic factors. This educated awareness will help you during discussions about local food, particularly by addressing the challenges that are so rarely mentioned. With additional local business activity, there are more opportunities for people to gain skills and to have access to learning opportunities. However, spending only locally limits the transfer of money from rich countries to poor.
