About Course

This module is dedicated to explore environmental initiatives in soil and food production, with a focus on assessing soil quality for the cultivation of healthy food. The main aim is to explore the obstacles related to maintain soil health, a significant matter to consumers who prioritize food for its well-being benefits.

Learning outcomes:
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
1)Understand the importance of soil fertility
2)Identify the different components of soil fertility: chemical, biological and physical fertility.
3)Explain the One Health Approach
4)Identify three rapid soil sampling methods: spade test, weeds as bio-indicators and earthworm sampling.
