Agroecological management options for World Agriculture
About Lesson

The systems described below include: conservation agriculture, mixed rice-fish systems, mixed crop-livestock systems, organic agriculture, agroforestry systems and permaculture. These agroecological management options are presented and their potential to support a green economy in world agriculture is discussed based on the principles of agroecosystems analysis (structural and functional properties) along the lines of Pacini and Groot (2017), which are illustrated in another report of the Food4All EU Erasmus+ project. Each agroecological management option is presented together with corresponding potential impacts on structural and functional properties of agroecosystems hosting it and the potential to support green economy.
